Hay una carta que todos los hombres leen; esa carta, querido lector cristiano, eres tú mismo: tú eres una epístola "CONOCIDA Y LEÍDA POR TODOS LOS HOMBRES". Si eres lavado en la sangre de Jesús, y sellado con el Espíritu Santo, la vida de Cristo se convierte en tu vida; tienes que ir por el mundo, dando testimonio de la verdad, con tu palabra y con tu vida. Tienes, por la gracia de Dios, que reflejar de tal modo la imagen de Jesús, que aquellos que se niegan a recibir tu palabra, puedan, contemplando tu vida celestial, ser llevados a glorificar a tu Padre que está en los cielos.
There is a tract that all men

"KNOWN AND READ OF ALL MEN." If you are washed in the blood of Jesus,
and sealed with the Holy Spirit, the life of Christ becomes your life; you have
to go forth into the world, bearing witness to the truth, by your word and by
your life. You have, by God's grace, so to reflect the image of Jesus, that
those who refuse to receive your word, may, by beholding your heavenly life, be
led to glorify your Father which is in heaven.
¡Cuánto daño hacen las inconsistencias en la vida de un cristiano, la conducta irreflexiva, la conversación insensata, la ligereza de modales! Sabemos que el sol sigue brillando, y el mundo sigue corriendo a su alrededor. Diariamente ejerce una influencia para el bien, por su luz y calor, y pocos le prestan atención. Pero si aparece una mancha en el sol, todos los ojos y los dedos se dirigen hacia ella, y la gente escribe a los periódicos para decir que hay una mancha en el sol. Lo mismo sucede con el cristiano; el mundo se apresura en torno a él, y mientras pasa, aunque pocos le presten atención, él puede ejercer su influencia para bien. Pero sólo dejen que tropiece; dejen que muestre cualquier inconsistencia de conducta, y entonces el mundo lo señalará y se burlará de él, y su influencia para el bien se verá obstaculizada. Piensa en esto, mi querido hermano o hermana cristiano.
What harm is done with
inconsistencies in a Christian's life, by thoughtless conduct, foolish
conversation, levity of manner! We know how the sun goes on shining, and the
world goes hurrying on around it. Daily it exerts an influence for good, by its
light and warmth, and few take any notice of it. But only let a spot appear
upon the sun, at once every eye and finger is towards it, and people are
writing to the newspapers to say there is a spot on the sun. It is just so with
the Christian; the world is hurrying on about him, and as it passes, though few
take any notice of him, he can exert his influence for good. But only let him
stumble—let him show any inconsistency of conduct, and then the world will
point and scoff at him, and his influence for good is hindered. Think of this, my dear Christian brother or sister
Podéis hacer algo por la gloria
de vuestro Salvador. Haced lo que podáis de palabra, pero, sobre todo, vivid
como los que están lavados en la sangre de Jesús, y manteneos sin mancha del
mundo. Así verán los hombres que la vida que ahora vivís en la carne la vivís

You can do something for your Saviour's glory. Do what you can by word, but above all, live as those who are washed in the blood of Jesus, and keep yourselves unspotted from the world.
