Nuestros
pensamientos de esta tarde/noche se
titulan "Heme aquí, envíame a mí". Este pensamiento está
tomado de Isaías
6:8. Leeremos los versículos 8 a 10
Our thoughts this evening are titled
“Here Am I, Send Meˮ. This thought is taken from Isa. 6:8. We will read verses 8 to 10
"Después oí la voz del Señor,
que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros. Entonces respondí yo:
Heme aquí, envíame a mí. Y dijo: Anda, y
dí a este pueblo: Oíd bien, y no entendáis; ved por cierto, mas no
comprendáis. Engruesa el corazón de este
pueblo, y agrava sus oídos, y ciega sus ojos, para que no vea con sus ojos, ni
oiga con sus oídos, ni su corazón entienda, ni se convierta, y haya para él
sanidad".
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom
shall I send, and who will go for Us?ˮ Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!ˮ And He said, “Go, and tell this
people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not understand; And keep on looking, but do
not gain knowledge.ʼ Make the
hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes blind, So that
they will not see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their
hearts, And return and be healed.ˮ
Estos versículos se refieren específicamente al profeta
Isaías, pero pueden aplicarse también a nuestro Señor Jesús. La pregunta del

These
verses pertain specifically to the prophet Isaiah but can be applied also to
our Lord Jesus. The question of the Father, who will be sent into the world and
for the willing and obedient answer from our Lord.

God
is asking a question. Think about that. The All-knowing God, omniscient God
asking a question. When God asks a question it is not for him to know or gain knowledge but
a lesson for us to learn. In the same way God asked Adam in the Garden “where
are youˮ. This is for us to understand why God
posed the option
La preocupación de Dios de hacer la pregunta para empezar es
querer enviar a alguien.
Godʼs concern to ask the question to begin with to
want to send someone.
Decimos que Dios eligió y dio a su Hijo unigénito, pero ¿qué
hay de la elección de Jesús? ¿Qué hay de su elección en el asunto? No crees que
Jesús eligió ir, ejerciendo su libre albedrío, aquí vemos la respuesta. Piensa
en las opciones que Dios tenía para que alguien muriera en nombre de lo que Él
creó. Podía haber elegido a un ángel, tal vez a Gabriel o a una de las miríadas

We
say that God chose and gave His only begotten Son, but what about Jesusʼ choice? What about his choice in the matter? Do you not think Jesus
chose to go, exercising his free will, we see the answer here. Think about the
options God had for someone to die on behalf of
what He created. He could have chosen an angel, maybe Gabriel or one of the
other myriads of angels. But the one who was there from the beginning, Godʼs first creation was now sent to the rest of creation.
La voluntad y obediencia de Jesús de decir iré, debido a su
mentalidad de que lo que Dios tiene en mente es bueno para mí.
The
willingness and obedience for Jesus to say I will go, because of his mindset
that whatever God has in mind is good for me.
El
primogénito de toda creación, el primer ciudadano del cielo, ahora deja el

The firstborn of every
creature, the first citizen of heaven now leaves heaven to go to know and die
for the world. Did he know he would die for the world when he said “Here I am,
send meˮ? We see the Old
Testament account of Abraham sacrificing Isaac to show his faith, how Abraham
did not reveal the information of his eventual sacrifice to Isaac, till the
time was at hand. Isaac, like Jesus willingly walked with him until the
mountain top and alter.
Es posible
que nuestro Señor Jesús no supiera todos los detalles de lo que implicaría ser
enviado. El primer acto de fe se mostró incluso antes de que él viniera al

So possibly our Lord Jesus,
did not know all the details of what would pertain to Him being sent. The first
act of faith was shown even before he came into the world. After all the
incomprehensible length of time that Jesus spent with the Almighty as the
firstborn of all creation to no longer having that face to face communication.

Where was he sent? And
as he was sent he was not sent into unfamiliar territory but He entered into
the world he made himself ….. but this world never knew him

So
he was sent into the world, and this is what he would choose to become his identity,
he didnʼt identify himself as the chosen one or
the special one but the sent one. From the early
origins of his time here on earth to the noon day heat of his ministry, he
recognized who he was, the sent one

estas grandes enseñanzas?
During
his ministry, from where did he learn to speak and give these great teachings?
Leamos Juan. 7:14-16: "Al llegar a la mitad de la
fiesta, Jesús subió al templo y se puso a enseñar. Entonces los judíos se
asombraron, diciendo: "¿Cómo ha llegado éste a ser docto, no habiendo
recibido educación Entonces Jesús respondió y les dijo:
"Mi enseñanza no es mía, sino de Aquel que me ha enviado.
John.
7:14-16 " But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into
the temple area, and began to teach. The Jews then were astonished, saying,
“How has this man become learned, not having been educated?. So Jesus answered them and said, “My
teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me".
¿Cómo mantuvo una relación tan estrecha con el Padre durante
su estancia en la tierra?
How
did he have such a close relationship with the Father during his time here on
earth?
Escuche lo que dice Juan 7:25-29 - "Entonces algunos de los
habitantes de Jerusalén decían: "¿No es éste a quien quieren matar?"
Y miren, está hablando públicamente, y ellos no le dicen nada. Los gobernantes
no saben realmente que éste es el Cristo, ¿verdad? Sin embargo, nosotros sabemos de dónde es
este hombre; pero cuando viene el Cristo, nadie sabe de dónde es.ˮ
Entonces Jesús gritó en el templo, enseñando y diciendo: "Vosotros me
conocéis y sabéis de dónde soy; y yo no he venido por mí mismo, sino que es
verdadero el que me envió, a quien vosotros no conocéis. Yo sí le conozco, porque vengo de Él, y Él me ha
enviado".
John.
7:25-29 - So some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, “Is this man not the
one whom they are seeking to kill? .And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and
they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the
Christ, do they? However, we know where
this man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.ˮ Then Jesus cried out in the
temple, teaching and saying, “You both know Me and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do
not know. I do know Him, because I am
from Him, and He sent Me.
Jesús nunca olvidó cuál era su propósito, fue enviado, y
nunca olvidó quién lo envió.
Jesus
never forgot what his purpose was, he was sent, and never forgot who sent him.
Lucas.
4:43 - Pero Él
les dijo: "Es necesario que yo también anuncie el reino de Dios en las demás
ciudades, porque para esto he sido enviado"
Luke.
4:43 - But He said to them, “I must also preach the kingdom of God to the other
cities, because I was sent for this purpose.ˮ
Al ser enviado, siguió expresando la misma voluntad y
obediencia. Como hombre perfecto, Jesús no tenía que morir, podría haber vivido
para siempre, fue su elección morir. Nosotros, en cambio, no tenemos elección,
morimos involuntariamente a causa del pecado.
As
He was sent, he continued to express the same willingness and obedience. As a
perfect man, Jesus did not have to die , he could have lived forever, it was
his choice to die. We, on the other, hand have no choice, we die involuntarily
because of sin.
Jesús murió
una muerte, no una muerte involuntaria, debida al pecado, como Adán y nosotros,
sino voluntaria, debida a la obediencia y al amor
Jesus died a death, not an involuntarily
death, due to sin, as Adam and us, but voluntarily, due to obedience and love
¿Qué merecía por cumplir la ley a la perfección? Merecía
exactamente lo que se le había prometido, que era la vida eterna. ¿Qué
merecemos nosotros? Somos pecadores, merecemos la muerte. Sin embargo, Jesús
recibió como pago de lo que merecemos, para que pudiéramos obtener lo que él
merece
What
did he deserve for keeping the law perfectly? He deserved exactly what was
promised to him, which was eternal life. What do we deserve? We are sinful, we
deserve death. Yet Jesús got as a payment of what we deserve, so we... could
get what he deserves
El que.... El perfecto que no debía morir, murió para que
los... los imperfectos que debían morir, no tuvieran que hacerlo.
The
one…. The perfect one who shouldnʼt die, died so the ones… the imperfect
who should die, donʼt have to.
Es por esta voluntad y obediencia de él, el enviado a asumir
lo que no merecía, la razón por la que hoy estamos aquí.
It
is because of this willingness and obedience by him, the sent one to take on
what he didnʼt deserve, the reason why we are here
today.
Pero nuestro Señor podía haber hecho algo, podía haber hecho
todo lo que se esperaba de él, morir en una cruz y hacer lo que se requería de
él. Todo lo que se le pedía era que muriera como rescate o precio
correspondiente por Adán. Sin embargo, el enviado, fue un paso más allá, mostró
su increíble y profundo amor por los que le rodeaban y los que dejaría atrás.
But
our Lord couldʼve done something, he couldʼve done everything that was expected of him, died on a cross and done
what was required of him. All that was required of
him was to die as a ransom or corresponding price for Adam. Yet the sent one,
went a step further, he showed his incredible deep love for those around him
and those he would leave behind.
Gracias a su voluntad y obediencia, soportó y experimentó con
alegría y gozo. Eso le ayudó definitivamente a vencer y conquistar el mundo. Esto
se afirma en Hebreos 12:3
Because
of his willingness and obedience, he endured and experienced gladly and with
joy. That definitely helped him overcome and conquer the world. This is stated
in Hebrews. 12:3
Hebreos
12:2 - "mirando
sólo a Jesús, el iniciador y perfeccionador de la fe, quien por el gozo puesto delante
de Él soportó la cruz, menospreciando la vergüenza, y se ha sentado a la
diestra del trono de Dios".
Heb.
12:2 - looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who
for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
¿De dónde sacó esa alegría?
From
where did he get that joy from?
En
Juan 15:10, 11
Jesús nos da una información muy interesante en este sentido.
In
John 15:10, 11 Jesus gives us some very interesting information along this
line.
Juan
15:10,11 - "Si
guardareis mis mandamientos, permaneceréis en mi amor, así como yo he guardado
los mandamientos de mi Padre, y permanezco en su amor. Estas cosas os he
hablado, para que mi gozo permanezca en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea cumplido".
John.
15:10,11 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I
kept my Fatherʼs commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that
your joy might be full
Cuando lees eso, ves cómo ayudó a nuestro Señor a vencer, tal
vez no entiendas cómo nos ayuda a nosotros.
When
you read that, you see how it helped our Lord overcome, maybe it doesn't sink in how that helps us.
Con estas palabras, Jesús nos muestra claramente que el
secreto de su alegría era su plena obediencia a la voluntad de su Padre;
y así será con cada uno de nosotros.
By
these words Jesus shows us clearly that the secret of his joy was his full
obedience to his Fatherʼs will; and so it will be with everyone
of us.
Luego lees un versículo más abajo y ves que no sólo aguantó
con alegría para poder vencer y así obtener su buena recompensa y hacer lo que
había que hacer y seguir adelante. Lo hizo por alguien más...
Then
you read a verse below that and see he didnʼt just endure with joy so he could overcome so he could get his good
reward and do what needed to be done and move on. He did it for someone else…
Hebreos
12:3 - "Pues
considerad a Aquel que ha soportado tanta hostilidad de los pecadores contra Sí
mismo, para que no os canséis ni desmayéis".
Heb.
12:3 - For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against
Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Soportó y completó su misión en sus momentos más insoportables
para ti, para que no te cansaras y desfallecieras
He
endured and completed his mission at its most excruciating for you, so you
would not grow tired and be faint
En sus momentos más dolorosos, cuando fue traicionado por uno
de los suyos, pensó en ti. cuando fue escupido pensó en ti, golpeado pensó en
ti, sangrando por la cabeza, con la piel cayéndosele por la espalda, siendo
azotado, escarnecido y tratado como un simple lunático yaciendo entre dos
ladrones desnudo en la cruz, al borde de la muerte, eras tú.
In
his most painful moments, as he was betrayed by one of his own, he thought of
you. as he was spat on he thought of you, beaten he thought of you, bleeding
out of his head, skin falling off the back, being scourged, mocked, and treated
as merely a lunatic lying between two thieves naked on the cross, near death,
it was you.
A través de cada uno de esos momentos dolorosos, tenía este
pensamiento: tú.
Through
each of those painful moments, he had this thought, you.
Ahora vemos por qué al llegar a nuestro tiempo de hoy, Cuando
Jesús se sentó con sus discípulos y participó de lo que en ese momento les
pareció extraño, fue para ayudarlos, para reconfirmar y fortalecer su
compromiso. Lo hacía todo por vosotros, para que no os cansarais. No se trataba
sólo de admirar este ritual en recuerdo mío, sino de hacer esto en recuerdo mío
Now
we see why as we come to our time today, When Jesus sat with his disciples and
partook of what seemed odd at the time to them, it was to help you, to
reconfirm and restrengthen your commitment. He did everything for you, so you
would not grow weary. It was not just admire this ritual in remembrance of me,
but do this in remembrance of me
A continuación un extracto que encontré que comparte bien los
sentimientos.
The
following an excerpt I came across that shares the sentiments well.
Cuando hoy participes de este memorial recuerda que:
"Cada vez que tu cuerpo se rompa, recuerda cómo yo rompí primero el mío
por ti, y sé fuerte." "Este cáliz o copa representa mi sangre que será derramada por
vosotros, derramada plenamente en la muerte para el perdón de los pecados, y
como testamento de una nueva alianza que se hará por el mundo. Tomad y bebed de
ella como compromiso de seguirme hasta la muerte. Cada vez que alguien te
recuerde que el camino que tomas te llevará a una muerte segura, recuerda cómo

When
you partake of this memorial today remember that, “Every time your body is
broken, remember how I first broke mine for you, and be strong."
"This cup represents my blood to be shed for you, poured out fully in
death for the forgiveness of sins, and for a testament of a new covenant to be
made for the world. Take and drink of it as your commitment to follow me even
unto death. Every time someone reminds you that the way you take will lead to
certain death, remember how I first shed my blood for you and be strong."

La cena conmemorativa no es una formalidad. Participamos y
recordamos al hombre Cristo Jesús, por morir brutalmente una muerte humillante.
The
Memorial supper is not a formality. We partake and remember the man Christ
Jesus, for brutally dying a humiliating death.
Hacemos que esto no sea una formalidad participando en los
emblemas una noche al año, sino que nuestro desarrollo crece a lo largo del año
hasta el próximo recuerdo emblemático. Hasta esa próxima vez, nos esforzamos al
máximo por reflejar a nuestro Capitán. La gracia que se nos ha concedido debe
impulsarnos a ser el reflejo más puro y limpio de Cristo que podamos ser.
We
make this not a formality by just partaking in the emblems one night of the
year but our development grows throughout the year till the next emblematic
remembrance. Until that next time we are trying our best to reflect our Captain.
The grace given to us should drive us to be the purest and cleanest reflection
of Christ we can be.
Así vemos que no sólo fue enviado para su misión de morir por
nosotros y partir, como un deber, sino también como un esposo amoroso y
compasivo. Para comunicarnos su profundo amor por nosotros, así describió Jesús
su amor en términos que podemos entender claramente. Se comparó a sí mismo con
un novio que eligió una novia (la Iglesia); que pagó un precio muy alto por
ella (su vida en la cruz); que ha ido a preparar un lugar para ella en la casa

So
we see it was not just sent for his mission to die for us and leave, as a duty,
but as a sympathetic loving bridegroom as well. In order to communicate His
deep love for us, this is how Jesus described His love in terms that we can
clearly understand. He compared Himself to a bridegroom who chose a bride (the
church); who paid a steep price for her (His life on the cross); who has gone
to prepare a place for her in his fatherʼs house (heaven); and who will come again to take her home. Why did he
say that? Before He departed this earth,

14:2-3: "En
la casa de mi Padre muchas moradas hay; si así no fuera, os lo hubiera dicho.
Voy a prepararos un lugar. Y si me voy y os preparo lugar, vendré otra vez y os
tomaré a mí mismo, para que donde yo estoy, vosotros también estéis".
John
14:2-3. - Jesus said, “In My Fatherʼs house are many mansions; if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that
where I am, there you may be also.
¿Qué
significa esto?
What
does this mean?
En el antiguo Israel, cuando llegaba el momento de que un
hombre y una mujer se casaran, ambos padres negociaban el precio de la novia
para compensar a la familia de la futura esposa. Tras intercambiar una copa de
vino para sellar el acuerdo, la pareja quedaba formalmente comprometida.
Entonces el joven le decía a su prometida: "Me voy a casa de mi padre a
prepararte un sitio. Cuando lo haya hecho, volveré y te tomaré por esposa
"ˮ. El
hijo construiría entonces una nueva casa sobre la de su padre.
In
ancient Israel, when it was time for a man and woman to marry, both fathers
would negotiate the bride price to compensate the bride-to-beʼs family. After exchanging a glass of wine to seal the agreement, the
couple was formally engaged. Then the young man would
say to his fiancée, in effect, “Iʼm going home to my fatherʼs house and prepare a place for you. When I've done that, Iʼll return and take you to be my wife The
son would then build a new house onto his fatherʼs existing one.
Mientras su prometido y el padre
de éste preparaban su nuevo hogar, la futura esposa permanecía en casa de sus
padres, preparando sus ropas de boda y aprendiendo las técnicas del hogar.
Durante este tiempo, era conocida en la comunidad como "la que había sido
comprada por un precio". Nadie sabía el momento exacto en que él vendría a
buscarla. -
As her fiancé and his father prepared
her new home, the bride-to-be would remain at her parentʼs home, preparing her wedding clothes and learning the skills of
homemaking. During this time, she was known in the community as “one who had
been bought with a price.ˮ She might wait six months, nine months,
or even longer for her beloved to return. No one knew the exact time when he
would come for her. –
Como la novia ansiosa, mantenemos
nuestras lámparas encendidas y nos esforzamos por estar listos, Así que vemos a
Jesús no sólo como el enviado, sino su genuino interés por ser nuestro novio.
Volviendo al principio de nuestras reflexiones, cuando se planteó la pregunta
del Padre, ¿a quién enviará? La respuesta voluntaria y obediente del Hijo
diciendo que irá, ahora se ha extendido desde el Hijo
Like the eager bride, we keep our lamps
burning and strive to be ready, So we see Jesus not just as the sent one but
his genuine interest to be our bridegroom. As we go back to the beginning of
our thoughts, as the question was raised from the Father, who He will send? The
willing and obedient answer from the Son saying he will go, has now been
extended from the Son
Juan 20:21 - Entonces Jesús les dijo otra
vez: "Paz
a vosotros; como el Padre me ha enviado, así también yo os envío a
vosotros"
John. 20:21 - So Jesus said to them
again, “Peace be to you; just as the
Father has sent Me, I also send you.ˮ
Reflexionemos sobre nuestro
crecimiento y desarrollo espiritual desde la última vez que participamos de
este pan y este vino. Planteémonos algunas preguntas para reflexionar, no sólo
hoy, sino también en el futuro.
Let us reflect on our spiritual growth
and development since the last time we partook of this bread and wine. Letʼs pose some reflective questions for us to ponder not just today but
going forward as well
En Mateo 27:22- 23 - Pilato
preguntó: "¿Qué haré con Jesús, llamado el Mesías?. La multitud respondió;
ellos hicieron su elección: "Crucifícalo. Acabad con él"
Matthew 27:22– 23 - Pilate asked, “What
shall I do with Jesus, who is called the Messiah?ˮ The crowd answered; they made their choice: “Crucify him. Do away with
him
¿Y tú? En el último año, ¿qué
has hecho con Jesús? El año que viene, ¿qué harás con Jesús? ¿Quién
fue crucificado aquel día? ¿Fue sólo Jesús? "Sabiendo esto, que nuestro
viejo hombre fue crucificado juntamente con él, para que el cuerpo del pecado
sea destruido, a fin de que no sirvamos más al pecadoˮ ¿Ha
sido tu viejo hombre crucificado consistentemente en el año pasado?
What about you? In the past year, What
have you been doing with Jesus? In the coming year, what will you do with Jesus
.Who was crucified on that day? Was it just Jesus? “Knowing this, that our old
man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that
henceforth we should not serve sinˮ Has your old man been crucified
consistently in the past year?
Jesús dijo Yo soy la vid,
vosotros los sarmientos. Usted puede tomar una rama y ponerla cerca
de un árbol, pero eso no la hace conectada al árbol, y no dará ningún fruto.
Puedes estar conectado o puedes estar cerca. Así que en el último año, ¿has
estado cerca o conectado con Jesús? ¿Qué harás para estar conectado y no sólo cerca?
Jesus said I am
the vine you are the branches. You can take a branch and put it close to a tree but that doesn't make it connected to the tree, and it
won't be bear any fruit. You can be
connected or you can be close. So in the past year have you just been close or
have you connected with Jesus? What will you do to be connected and not just
close
Aceptémoslo graciosamente con
voluntad y obediencia. Así como nuestro Señor fue enviado, ahora nosotros somos
enviados a este próximo año con el ejemplo de nuestro Señor para ser
fortalecidos y recordados. También somos enviados a mostrar el mismo amor que
Jesús nos mostró, a extender la misma gracia y perdón que hemos recibido. Somos
enviados a ser las manos y los pies de Jesús en el mundo, a servir y amar a los
demás como Él lo hizo.
Let us graciously accept this with
willingness and obedience. That as our Lord was sent now we are sent into this
next year with our Lordʼs example to be strengthened and
remembered. We are also sent to show the same love that Jesus showed us, to
extend the same grace and forgiveness that we have received. We are sent to be
the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, to serve and love others just as He

Matt. 16:24 - Then Jesus said to His
disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his
cross, and follow Me.
Cuando alguien es enviado a
alguna parte, es enviado a un lugar, y enviado con un propósito. Nosotros somos
enviados al mundo. ¿Somos enviados para hacer qué?... seguir el ejemplo de Jesús, no
para simplemente admirarlo desde la distancia. Nuestra obediencia a sus
mandamientos es una clara demostración de nuestro amor por Él. Esforcémonos por hacer evidente nuestro amor a Jesús.
When someone is sent somewhere, they are
sent to a place, and sent with a purpose. We are sent into the world. We are
sent to do what? follow Jesus' example, not to simply admire it from a
distance. To show our love for him, we can do it through this way by obeying
his commands, Our obedience to His commands is a clear demonstration of our
love for Him. Let us strive to make our love for Jesus evident.
En conclusión, recordemos la voluntad de nuestro Señor
Jesús de ser tan rápido en querer ser la pieza más importante del plan de Dios.
Recordemos que fue más que satisfacer la justicia, pero su fue un paso más
allá, su profundo amor por nosotros, lo hizo todo con detalle para recordarle
su amor. Así que, como somos enviados con el mismo propósito, expresemos el
sacrificio de Jesús en nuestras vidas con amor, voluntad y obediencia, a la
obra de Dios en nosotros, a nuestros hermanos y a los del mundo.
In conclusion, let us remember the
willingness of our Lord Jesus to be so quick in wanting to be the most
important piece of Godʼs plan. Let us remember it was more than
satisfying justice but his he went one step further, his deep love for us, he
did everything with detail to remind you of his love. So let us as we are sent
out with the same purpose, express Jesusʼ sacrifice in our lives with love, willingness and obedience, to God
work in us, to our fellow brethren and those in the world.
